About Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse
Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse sits at the northern end of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge, offering spectacular views over Geographe Bay, the Indian Ocean, and the rugged coastline stretching south. Built in 1903, this 20-metre lighthouse marks the northern gateway to the famous Cape to Cape Track.
Located just 13km from Dunsborough, Cape Naturaliste is one of the region's most accessible lighthouses and an excellent spot for whale watching during migration season. The surrounding bushland is home to walking trails and abundant wildlife.

From September to December, Cape Naturaliste is one of the best land-based whale watching spots in the region. Humpback whales migrate past the cape on their journey north and south, often coming close to shore. The viewing platform near the lighthouse offers excellent vantage points.
